I recommend turning it off to see how it impacts this specific image. In normally exposed images, this method can lead to oversaturation, so I usually reduce it using other modules like Color Balance RGB. The LAB tone curve is mostly me experimenting to see how it affects color saturation, particularly in the Blue and Magenta spectrum, which I often adjust.

However, miR-71 does not appear to regulate all postembryonic development during L1 diapause recovery. Unlike classical heterochronic miRNAs such as lin-4 and let-7, the role of miR-71 in vulval cell division is essential in animals recovering from starvation-induced L1 diapause, but not in animals hatched on plates with food.
The overall effect of miRNAs on L1 starvation survival is expected to be significantly stronger than that reflected by the data in Fig. These results suggest that miRNAs act in the intestine, and possibly in other tissues, to promote L1 starvation survival. However, the mechanisms that coordinate the long-term survival, overall developmental arrest, and reinitiation remain to be investigated.
